Here’s a closer look at all the changes made to the 2026 Grand i10 Nios
2026 Grand i10 Nios Magna AMT Discontinued; Base AMT Price Goes Up
One of the most notable changes is the discontinuation of the Magna AMT variant. Earlier, the Magna AMT was the most affordable automatic option in the Grand i10 Nios lineup, priced at Rs. 6.85 lakh (ex-showroom). With this variant no longer listed in the updated brochure, buyers looking for an AMT gearbox now have to start with the Corporate AMT variant.
As a result, the entry price for a Grand i10 Nios automatic has effectively gone up by around Rs. 27,000, with the Corporate AMT currently priced at Rs. 7.12 lakh (ex-showroom). This change slightly raises the barrier of entry for buyers seeking a budget-friendly automatic hatchback from Hyundai.
Petrol-Manual Dropped From Grand i10 Nios SX(O) Connect Variants
The brochure update also indicates changes to the powertrain options in the higher variants. The Grand i10 Nios petrol manual is no longer available with the SX(O) Connect and SX(O) Connect Knight trims. These variants are now offered exclusively with the petrol-AMT powertrain.
Until recently, buyers had the flexibility to choose between manual and automatic gearboxes even in the top variants. With this change, Hyundai seem to be positioning the SX(O) Connect variants as more convenience-focused offerings, nudging buyers towards the automatic option at the top of the range.
Single-Cylinder CNG Discontinued; Dual-CNG Setup Now Standard
Another significant update relates to the Grand i10 Nios CNG. Hyundai have discontinued the single-cylinder CNG configuration, and the hatchback is now offered only with the dual-CNG tank setup.
Earlier, the single-cylinder CNG variants were cheaper by roughly Rs. 7,700 compared to their dual-cylinder counterparts. With the single-cylinder option no longer available, buyers opting for CNG will now have to pay the higher price associated with the dual-tank layout, which offers better boot usability and improved weight distribution.
Interestingly, the single-cylinder CNG setup has not been phased out entirely. It continues to be offered on the recently launched Hyundai Prime HB taxi model, which is aimed specifically at commercial and fleet buyers.
2026 Grand i10 Nios Ex-Showroom Price
Hyundai have revised the prices of the 2026 Grand i10 Nios, with the base Era variant powered by the 1.2L normal petrol engine and manual transmission getting a price hike of Rs. 7,722. Here’s a quick glance at the new prices of the 2026 Grand i10 Nios:
