There weren’t many options available a few years ago if you wanted a huge SUV with good off-roading and towing capacity. With the return of the Jeep Wagoneer in 2022, the field expanded significantly and added a great deal of luxury.
The Wagoneer L, a long-wheelbase vehicle that significantly boosts load capacity, joined the Wagoneer lineup last year. Additionally, a twin-turbo six-cylinder engine that uses less fuel was introduced.
When outfitted correctly, the Jeep Wagoneer can tow more than any other SUV. With a maximum towing capacity of 10,000 pounds, it surpasses all other SUVs, even the Jeep Grand Wagoneer, which is larger.

The Grand Wagoneer comes equipped with three rows of standard seats as well as the newest technology and driver assistance systems. With a nearly 10,000-pound towing capacity, the Grand Wagoneer is also capable of towing.
One feature of the Grand Wagoneer’s interior has become well-known since it first appeared: screens. The experience is dominated by a massive 12-inch central panel, but the smaller 10.3-inch screen directly below it is hard to ignore. Climate controls occupy virtually all of this screen.

Introducing Ford’s largest and most capable SUV, the 2024 Expedition. It has far greater capability than huge three-row crossovers like the Volkswagen Atlas and Honda Pilot because to its truck-based architecture.
While unibody rivals like the Pilot and Atlas have a maximum towing capacity of 5,000 pounds, the Expedition has a rating of 9,300 pounds. The Expedition is a good choice for a capable three-row large SUV if you have to tow a large camper or a large ski boat.

The Lincoln Navigator boasts first-rate cabin space and a powerful engine. This luxurious SUV further dazzles in the technological department with an excellent stereo system, a quick touchscreen interface, and numerous cutting-edge driving aids.
We believe the Navigator to be Lincoln at its finest overall. Lincoln’s flagship vehicles used to be enormous luxury sedans like the Town Car and Continental, but these days they’re large luxury SUVs.
The 2024 Lincoln Navigator, like those vintage cars, provides a comfortable interior and smooth ride with strong engine and towing capability.
Old Town Cars were capable of towing! However, the modern Navigator also boasts technology that goes above and beyond even the high-tech requirements of the past. Notable features include the Blue Cruise hands-free driving system and endlessly adjustable seats. In spite of its mediocre fuel efficiency, the Navigator remains a standard. It is, therefore, our second choice for a large luxury SUV.
There will be only one significant update to the Navigator in 2024. Previously an option, four-wheel drive is now standard. Every Navigator may now more adeptly navigate challenging terrain or situations when paired with a low-speed transfer case.
This little upgrade comes after a wave of modest tweaks last year, but it’s not a big deal. As is, the current Navigator is quite nice.
The Navigator’s robust frame and powerful turbo V6 built in tandem with the F-150 allow it to tow up to 8,700 pounds. The Jeep Grand Wagoneer is the only large, luxurious SUV that can tow more.
Up to eight people can fit comfortably in its seats, and if you need extra capacity for cargo, the Navigator L version can accommodate you by adding almost a foot to its length. There is not much noise from the wind or the road, and very little background noise.
It is best SUV for towing and off road capabilities. The suspension does an excellent job of gliding over jagged edges or ruts. However, there can be a lot of up-and-down body movement on surfaces that are constantly undulating, which can be somewhat uncomfortable.
There are much more adjustments available on the 24-way front seats than appear required. Finding a setting you like takes some time. You will, however, be quite comfy once you do.
Additionally effective are the seat coolers and heaters. Superior cabin comforts and amazing capability are combined in the Lincoln Navigator. Because of its extensive driver aids and snappy touchscreen, it also wowed in terms of technology.
