2026 Tata Punch Vs Rivals – CNG Specs Compared
Like its predecessor, the Punch facelift is available with the option of a 1.2L CNG bi-fuel engine. However, this time around Tata Motors are offering the Punch CNG with the choice of a 5-speed AMT in addition to the 5-speed manual transmission, making it a viable choice for cost-conscious buyers who require the convenience of an automatic transmission.

Note: The Nissan Magnite too is available with a 1L CNG engine option. However, the Magnite uses a retrofitted CNG kit instead of a factory-installed kit. Nissan have not officially revealed the power and torque figures for the retrofitted kit. Hence, we have not included it in this comparison. However, it must also be noted that in the B-SUV segment, the Magnite is the only CNG SUV other than the Tata Punch to offer the option of an automated manual transmission.
- In terms of outright power and torque, the Tata Punch CNG comes out ahead of the Exter CNG and Fronx CNG.
- The Punch CNG and Exter offer dual CNG cylinder technology, which utilises two smaller CNG cylinders under the boot floor. This setup helps liberate more boot space for your luggage and knick-knacks.
- The Exter CNG is the least powerful CNG SUV in this comparison.
