*Based on pre-facelift Altroz
The Tata Altroz 2025 is the only hatchback here that offers a 3-cylinder petrol engine, and the Baleno and Glanza share the same 4-cylinder engine as well as transmission option. Tata’s petrol engine produces 5PS more power than the i20’s but 2PS less than the Baleno and Glanza. The Altroz and i20 have identical torque outputs while the Baleno and Glanza fall short by 2Nm.
In terms of fuel efficiency, the Baleno and Glanza beat their rivals with ease as it’s the only one to breach the 20kmpl mark with both manual and automatic transmissions. The Altroz’s fuel efficiency figures are about 1kmpl short of the i20’s claimed mileage.

Tata Altroz 2025 Vs Competition — Dimension, Ground Clearance Comparison
In terms of dimensions, the Clavis and the Carens are nearly identical. Since Kia haven’t confirmed the ground clearance of the Clavis or the Carens, we expect it to be around 180mm. Since the official ground clearance figures are specified in the unloaded condition, with a full load of 7 occupants, they will sag a bit. And in that situation, the car should be able to go over typical Indian speed bumps without a hiccup. For that reason, we expect them to have around 180mm of clearance.
