What Defender Journeys offers
Curated itineraries across India’s varied terrain

The 2026 edition includes 23 planned routes that cover a wide range of Indian terrain, such as Kutch, the Zanskar Valley, the UmLing La Pass, Ladakh, the Spiti Valley and the Siliguri corridor. Each itinerary mixes structured driving with planned halts for local exploration and cultural experiences.
Participants will drive organiser-provided Defender 110s across high-altitude roads, desert stretches and rough rural terrain. Each group is accompanied by trained staff who handle route planning, vehicle assistance and daily operations.
Mark Cameron, managing director, Defender, said: “Defender Journeys is the ultimate expression of the Defender brand’s DNA.”
“Defender has earned its reputation as a vehicle that can go anywhere and do anything. We’re proud to offer this opportunity for adventure-seekers to experience the full potential of Defender, while exploring India’s most formidable landscapes and terrains”
Driving the Defender on varied terrain
Key Defender abilities highlighted during the journey

Participants drive a fleet of Defender 110s, equipped with systems such as all-wheel drive, hill descent control and the brand’s off-road driving modes. These help the vehicle manage different surfaces, from broken mountain roads to soft sand and loose gravel.
The routes are chosen to show how the Defender handles high-altitude passes, desert stretches and uneven rural terrain while still offering long-distance comfort. The aim is to give participants a clear sense of how the vehicle behaves in real-world conditions.
Although the wider Defender range in India spans the 90, 110 and 130 body styles, the Journeys programme focuses solely on the 110.
Prices for the Defender in India currently range from Rs 98 lakh to Rs 2.60 crore (ex-showroom).
