Here’s a look at all the upcoming cars in January 2026:
1. Kia Seltos 2026

Kia India plan to set the ball rolling with the launch of the new Seltos 2026. Now in its second generation, the new Seltos is bigger and packs more technology and safety features than before. Kia have already shared the variant details of the new Seltos and have even commenced production of the SUV at their plant in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. All that remains is for Kia to announce the variant-wise prices of the 2nd gen Seltos, which will take place on January 2.

2. Mahindra XUV 7XO

Mahindra will reveal the 2026 XUV 7XO, which is essentially the upcoming XUV700 facelift, on January 5. Bookings for the new XUV 7XO are already open. The new XUV 7XO will not only offer a sharper design inspired by the recently-launched XEV 9S, but it will also offer advanced features such as a triple-screen layout consisting of three 12.3-inch displays that serve as the digital instrument cluster, infotainment system and front passenger entertainment screen.
Mahindra have also teased an electronic Boss Mode, that enables rear seat passengers to slide the front passenger seat forward to liberate more legroom. This feature is especially handy for chauffeur-driven customers. The XUV 7XO will also offer other top features such as a panoramic sunroof, powered driver’s seat with memory, dual-zone automatic climate control, ventilated and massaging front seats, ventilated captain seats in 6-seater variants, and more.
In terms of powertrain options, the new XUV 7XO will offer the same engines as the outgoing XUV700. This means customers can choose between a 2L turbo petrol engine or a 2.2L turbo diesel engine. Both engines will be offered with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission option.

3. Tata Harrier And Safari Petrol

Tata Motors have shared various details about the new Harrier and Safari turbo petrol variants by releasing their brochures. The homegrown carmaker has even started accepting bookings for the turbo petrol versions of their flagship SUVs. Although not confirmed by the brand yet, we expect Tata Motors to reveal the variant-wise prices of the 2026 Harrier and Safari turbo petrol SUVs in the first week of January 2026.
The Harrier and Safari turbo petrol SUVs use the same 1.5L turbo petrol engine that made its debut with the new Sierra 2026. However, in the Harrier and Safari, the new turbo petrol engine produces 170PS of power and 280Nm, which is an increase of 10PS and 25Nm over the Sierra turbo petrol.

Additionally, the new Harrier and Safari turbo petrol will be exclusively available in a new Fearless Ultra variant equipped with a larger 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Dolby Atmos, a digital inside rearview mirror (IRVM), outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs) with memory function, 65W USB Type-C ports, and a washer for the rear camera among other additions.
4. Skoda Kushaq Facelift

Skoda are expected to launch the Kushaq facelift on January 20, 2026. First launched in July 2021, the Kushaq is expected to get a comprehensive update in terms of design and features. The Kushaq facelift could get a redesigned exterior design using Skoda’s new “Modern Solid” design language, which was first seen on the Skoda Kylaq. This means refreshed front and rear designs with sleeker LED lighting elements and new alloy wheel designs. New color options are also expected.
As part of this major update, new features are definitely on the cards for the Kushaq facelift. Possible additions include a larger 10.25-inch digital driver’s display (up from the current 8-inch), a 360-degree camera for easier parking and manoeuvring, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite
The updates, especially to the feature list, will be crucial. For example, the smaller Skoda Kylaq already offers many features that its larger sibling, the Kushaq, has. The facelifts should help create clearer differences between the models.
Despite the extensive updates to design and features, the Kushaq facelift is expected to continue with the current engine options. These include a 1L turbo petrol with a choice of 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter (TC) automatic and a larger 1.5L turbo petrol engine with a 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission (DCT).
5. Renault Duster

The all-new Renault Duster will make its India debut on January 26, 2026. The new Duster will mark Renault’s return to the C-SUV segment after a gap of 4 years. While details regarding the India-spec Duster are scarce at the moment, we expect Renault to launch it with petrol engines only at launch.
A 1.3L turbo-petrol engine is likely to headline the range, producing around 156PS of power, paired with manual and CVT automatic transmissions. The entry-level variants could use the 1.0L turbo-petrol, possibly in a slightly higher state of tune than in the Kiger.
While a diesel powertrain isn’t on the cards for now, Renault are evaluating a localised hybrid powertrain to appeal to buyers looking for better fuel efficiency and lower running costs. All-wheel-drive (AWD) is also expected to return, likely on higher variants.
We expect Renault to reveal the new Duster’s starting price as well as the booking and delivery timelines for the SUV on January 26.
6. Nissan Gravite

Nissan are gearing up to launch the Gravite MPV in January 2026. While the exact date is yet to be announced, Rebault have indicated that the prices of the Gravite will be revealed closer to the launch. Bookings for the Nissan Gravite MPV is expected to open shortly after its January 2026 launch, although Nissan are yet to announce an official booking start date.
The Nissan Gravite will be the second model from the Renault–Nissan alliance to be based on the CMF-A+ platform, following the Renault Triber. It remains to be seen if Nissan offer the Gravite with the 1L turbo petrol from the Magnite SUV or just offer it with the same 1L normal petrol engine from the Triber.
