Mahindra XEV 9S: Design Highlights
The teaser confirms that the XEV 9S will sport a bold and futuristic design language consistent with Mahindra’s new-gen EV family. The front fascia gets a closed-off grille with vertical chrome inserts, sleek LED daytime running lamps, and aerodynamic alloy wheels with a multi-spoke design.

The SUV also features dark roof rails, a dual-tone finish, and a prominent chrome strip running along the body cladding for a more premium stance. The latest teaser also confirms one of its key features – a massive panoramic sunroof, which stretches nearly the entire length of the roof.
Mahindra XEV 9S: Interior & Features
Though the cabin has yet to be officially revealed, earlier spy images have hinted at a triple-screen dashboard layout, similar to the setup seen in the XEV 9e. This includes a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, a large infotainment touchscreen, and a co-driver screen.
Expected features include ventilated and massaging front seats, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, multi-zone climate control, and configurable ambient lighting. With these additions, the XEV 9S is shaping up to be Mahindra’s most tech-laden and luxurious EV to date.
Mahindra XEV 9S: Battery Pack & Performance (Expected)
Mahindra have not shared any official details about the powertrain yet. However, the XEV 9S is likely to use the same 59kWh and 79kWh battery options as the BE 6 and XEV 9e.
Power output could range up to 335PS and 535Nm, with the possibility of a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive setup for higher variants. The SUV is also expected to support DC fast-charging and vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality, in line with Mahindra’s latest EV lineup.
Mahindra XEV 9S: Launch Timeline & Rivals
The Mahindra XEV 9S will slot in as the flagship model in Mahindra’s electric SUV range, positioned above the XEV 9e and BE 6. It will rival upcoming large electric SUVs from Hyundai, Kia, and Tata’s Avinya lineup.
Mahindra are expected to commence Indian sales in early 2026, with official pricing to be announced closer to launch.
