The facility, strategically located near Terminal 2 of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in The Leela Mumbai premises, marks the companies’ first co-branded Mega EV charging hub in the city.
India’s Largest EV Charging Hub Now In Mumbai
The newly launched TATA.ev MegaCharger Hub is capable of charging up to 16 EVs simultaneously, thanks to its eight 120kW fast DC chargers. Open 24/7, the hub ensures round-the-clock accessibility and reduced wait times, even during peak hours. Importantly, the entire facility is powered by 100% green energy, reinforcing Tata Group’s commitment to sustainable mobility.
The hub is designed to serve a wide mix of EV users, right from private car owners to taxis, ride-hailing fleets, and last-mile logistics operators. Its location makes it especially convenient for frequent flyers, hotel guests, and professionals commuting through the busy Andheri–BKC–South Mumbai corridor.
Commenting on the launch, Dr. Praveer Sinha, CEO & MD, Tata Power, said:
The launch of this fast-charging hub, developed in collaboration with Tata Motors, reflects our integrated approach to driving India’s green mobility transition. Strategically located and powered entirely by renewable energy, it sets a benchmark for future-ready EV infrastructure.
Adding to this, Mr. Shailesh Chandra, MD, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd. & Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd., said:
Our long-standing partnership with Tata Power has been instrumental in building India’s EV charging ecosystem. The TATA.ev MegaCharger hub is a major milestone, and the first of many such joint installations aimed at empowering EV owners across India.
Exclusive Benefits For Tata EV Owners
While the MegaCharger hubs are open to all EV users, Tata’s EV customers will enjoy up to 25% discounts and priority access. Charging can be accessed through the Tata Power EZ Charge App (with over 4 lakh users) and will soon be integrated into the iRA.ev Connected Car App for Tata EV owners.
This launch adds to Tata Power’s already extensive network of:
- 5,500+ public and captive EV charging points
- 1.4 lakh+ home chargers
- 1,200+ bus charging points across 630+ Indian cities
In Mumbai alone, the company operates over 1,000 charging points. By 2030, Tata Power aims to scale its footprint to 7.5 lakh home chargers and 10,000 public charging points, creating one of the largest green mobility networks in the country.
