New Mercedes-Benz GLC EQ Powertrain, Range & Charging
At launch, the GLC 400 4MATIC will headline the lineup with 360kW (490PS) of power and a remarkable 713km WLTP range. Thanks to its 800-volt battery system, the SUV can recharge up to 303km in just 10 minutes. A 94kWh battery pack underpins the architecture, paired with advanced recuperation technology capable of recovering up to 300kW under braking. Bidirectional charging support also enables the GLC to act as a power source for homes or the grid.
Mercedes-Benz Unveil AI-driven Operating System
The new GLC debuts MB.OS, Mercedes-Benz’s in-house AI-driven operating system. Capable of processing 254 trillion operations per second, it manages everything from infotainment and driver assistance to charging. Over-the-air updates, chip-to-cloud security, and seamless integration with the Mercedes Intelligent Cloud ensure the GLC stays up to date for years.
New GLC EQ: Design Inside & Out
The GLC’s exterior introduces a new illuminated chrome grille, redefining the face of Mercedes SUVs. Inside, the star attraction is the MBUX Hyperscreen, the largest ever fitted to a Mercedes at 39.1 inches. Complemented by ambient lighting and the optional panoramic roof with a starry-night effect, the cabin blends digital luxury with warmth.
Mercedes have also introduced an industry-first Vegan Package, certified by The Vegan Society, offering animal-free premium interiors.
Built on a new electric-first platform, the GLC offers more legroom and headroom than its combustion counterpart, plus a generous 570-litre boot (expandable to 1,740 litres) and an additional 128-litre frunk.
New GLC EQ: Driving Dynamics & Safety
Borrowing technology from the flagship S-Class, the GLC EV features intelligent air suspension with adaptive damping and rear-axle steering for agility. Off-roaders will appreciate Terrain Mode and a transparent bonnet view for rough terrain.
Safety comes courtesy of MB.DRIVE, a sensor suite with up to 10 cameras, 5 radars, and 12 ultrasonic sensors, enabling advanced driver assistance and cooperative driving features.
Launch Timeline
The all-new Mercedes-Benz GLC EV will debut globally in H1 2026, with multiple variants to follow after the flagship GLC 400 4MATIC. Prices are yet to be announced but expect it to sit above the combustion GLC and rival premium electric SUVs like the recently-unveiled BMW iX3, Audi Q6 e-tron, and Jaguar I-Pace.
