Audi has formally pulled the covers off the third-gen RS5, which will be sold in sedan and Avant (estate) forms. The 2026 Audi RS5 is based on the A5 that debuted in 2024. As is expected of an Audi RS model, the RS5 looks much more menacing and purposeful than the A5, sporting a 90mm wider bodykit with redesigned bumpers, new alloy wheels, forged carbon ORVM housings, a larger grille, and more. Under the bonnet, the new RS5 packs a plug-in hybrid setup comprising a 510hp/600Nm 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 and a 177hp/460Nm electric motor, generating a combined 639hp and 825Nm. This is routed to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox, enabling a claimed 0-100kph of 3.6 seconds and a top speed of up to 285kph. Deliveries for the new RS5 will commence globally in summer 2026.
