2027 Hyundai Creta – Expected Design Changes

Despite the camouflage, a few changes are visible in the latest Creta spy shots. Overall, the SUV looks boxier with a more upright silhouette. The front end retains the boxy proportions of the current model. However, we expect Hyundai to make the next-gen model even boxier for a rugged SUV appeal.

Although the tailgate features heavy cladding, the rear end is likely to be similar to the new-gen Kia Seltos with an upright tailgate, a raked windscreen, a roof spoiler and connected LED taillamps.
The test mule was also spotted wearing larger 19-inch alloy wheels shod with fatter 235/45 R19 tyres. In comparison, the Creta currently offers 215/55 R18 tyres. We expect the India-spec model to offer the same wheel and tyre sizes as the current model in the interest of comfort and ride quality.

Thanks to platform sharing with the Kia Seltos, we expect the new-gen Creta to be one of the longest SUVs in its segment. The new Kia Seltos is currently the longest C-SUV in the segment and boasts the second longest wheelbase after the Tata Sierra. Thus, we can expect the new-gen Creta to be more spacious on the inside and more imposing on the road than the current model.
2027 Hyundai Creta – Interior And Features
The latest spy shots also offer a glimpse inside the cabin of the 2027 Creta. One of the biggest highlights is the presence of electronically adjustable controls for the front passenger seat accessible from the rear, which is otherwise known as Boss Mode. Hyundai already offer this feature in the Creta Electric, so it won’t be surprising if they offer in it the ICE variants of the next-generation model as well.

Other expected interior updates include a revised dashboard layout with larger screens all around, upgraded materials as well as enhanced ADAS features.
2027 Hyundai Creta Expected Powertrain Options
The recent launch of the second-generation Kia Seltos gives us a clue of the engines and transmission options Hyundai are likely to offer for the new-gen Creta. Essentially, like the Seltos, we expect the 2027 Creta to retain the same powertrain options as the current model. These include a 1.5L normal petrol, a 1.5L turbo petrol and a 1.5L turbo diesel.
Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and CVT for the normal petrol engine, a 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic for the diesel engine, and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT) for the turbo petrol. Kia have confirmed a strong hybrid powertrain for the Seltos, which is expected to arrive in 2027. We could expect the same powertrain to find its way under the bonnet of the Creta as well.
Launch Timeline
The next-generation Hyundai Creta is expected to make its debut in early 2027. As India is one of the key markets for the Creta, we expect it to arrive on our shores soon after the global debut. When launched, the 2027 Creta will continue to rival C-segment SUVs such as the Kia Seltos, Tata Sierra, Maruti Grand Vitara and Victoris, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Honda Elevate, MG Astor, Skoda Kushaq, Renault Duster, Nissan Tekton and the Volkswagen Taigun.
