Hyundai i20 Era – What’s New?
Earlier, Hyundai had quietly discontinued the i20 base model following GST price revision, leaving the Magna Executive variant as the most affordable option. With the return of the i20’s base Era variant, the Hyundai hatchback now undercuts its key rival, the Tata Altroz. And matches the Baleno.
Despite being the base variant, the i20 Era comes with features such as:
- 6 airbags
- Digital instrument cluster
- Tilt and telescopic steering wheel
- Front Type-C USB charger
- Faux silver skid plate
- Bloody-coloured ORVMs and door handles
Hyundai i20 Magna Variants Now Marginally Cheaper
Aside from the reintroduction of the Era variant, Hyundai have reduced the prices of the i20 Magna Executive and Magna variants. Here are the prices of the Era, Magna Executive and Magna variants of the i20:

Magna Executive And Magna Variants: Key Highlights
The Magna Executive sits above the Era and adds features such as:
- Automatic headlamps
- Steering-mounted audio and Bluetooth controls
- Electrically adjustable ORVMs
- Keyless entry
- TPMS
The Magna variant further ups the premium quotient with:
- Electric sunroof
- LED DRLs
- Rear AC vents
- Front armrest with storage
Hyundai are also offering a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as a dealer-installed accessory. Priced at Rs. 15,000, the package includes a rear camera and comes with a 3-year warranty.
