An EV can be used on highways but on longer runs or drives that involve long ghat sections you will drain more of your battery. While there are chargers on major highways you still have to plan the stop, find a free and working one and wait for a while for it to charge. Thus since you already have an EV for the city and are looking for a vehicle for your highway drives we would recommend a petrol.
You could consider the Kia Seltos as its a mid-size SUV and would nicely complement your smaller Tata Punch. It’s also a very good all rounder and it ride is comfort oriented without sacrificing handling balance and at highway speeds it remains stable and planted. You could opt for naturally aspirated 1.5 L petrol which delivers sufficient performance but if you want a stronger highway performance opt for the turbo-petrol instead.
