Update (Nov 6, 2025): We have updated this article with our VFM score and buying recommendations for all Venue petrol variants. The calculations for diesel variants are still in progress and we will soon update this article to convey those too for all Venue diesel buyers.
Update (Nov 4, 2025): In this article, you will find variant wise features of the new Venue 2025. Variant-wise recommendation will be made live very soon.
What Is The Price Of New Hyundai Venue Variants?
The Hyundai Venue is available in the following 5 powertrain options:
- 1.2L normal petrol-manual
- 1.0L turbo petrol-manual
- 1.0L turbo petrol-automatic (7-speed DCT)
- 1.5L turbo diesel-manual
- 1.5L turbo diesel-automatic (6-speed TC)
The Hyundai Venue retains all 4 powertrains from before and adds 1.5L diesel-automatic to the mix. The new variant lineup is different from before and has HX nomenclature. The Venue 1.2L normal petrol-manual is available in 5 of the lower variants with ex-showroom prices ranging from Rs. 7.90 lakh for the HX2 trim and going up to Rs. 10.70 lakh for the HX 6T variant.
The turbo petrol-manual powertrain is available in 3 variants, HX2, HX5 & HX8 with an ex-showroom price of Rs. 8.80 lakh, Rs. 9.74 lakh and Rs. 11.81 lakh, respectively. Turbo petrol-manual carries a premium of Rs. 60,000 – 90,000 over the normal petrol variants. For another Rs. 93,000 – 1.04 lakh, you can get this engine with an automatic transmission. Petrol-automatic powertrain is available in 4 variants of the Hyundai Venue — HX5, HX6, HX8 and HX10. They cost between Rs. 10.67 lakh and Rs. 14.56 lakh.

They cost between Rs. 9.70 lakh and Rs. 12.51 lakh (ex-showroom). The diesel-automatic powertrain seems to cost Rs. 95,000 more and it’s available in 2 variants, HX5 & HX10, with an ex-showroom price tag of Rs. 11.58 lakh and Rs. 15.51 lakh, respectively.

Hyundai Venue HX2 — Base Model Standard Features
The base HX2 variant of the Hyundai Venue gets only manual transmission but is available with all 3 engines. With the 1.2L normal petrol, it costs Rs. 7.90 lakh (ex-showroom). For another Rs. 90,000 (@ Rs. 8.80 lakh), you can get it with the turbo petrol engine. Add another Rs. 90,000 (@ Rs. 9.70 lakh) and you can have it with the turbo diesel engine for even better torque output and slightly better mileage.

For a car costing close to Rs. 10.0 lakh ex-showroom, the Venue base variant seems to miss out on a few must-have features such as:
- TPMS
- Parcel tray
- Height-adjustable driver seat
- Auto AC
- Front armrest
If you’re interested in the Venue base model with 1.2L normal petrol engine, then this is the variant to buy. For the incremental price over the base variant, all higher variants offer between poor and pathetic value for money score.
For turbo petrol buyers, the base trim is worth considering. Although, on the feature front, you may have to compromise in terms of some must-haves.
Hyundai Venue HX2 vs HX4 Variant — Price, Feature Comparison
The HX4 variant is only available with the 1.2L normal petrol-manual powertrain and costs Rs. 8.80 lakh, which is Rs. 90,000 more than the HX2 with the same powertrain.

This variant misses out on the following features:

- Height-adjustable driver seat
- Split-folding rear seatbacks
- Auto AC
- Rear parcel tray
The HX4 variant with normal petrol engine offers only about 30% VFM score. So, obviously, it’s not recommended.
Hyundai Venue HX4 vs HX5 Variant — Price, Feature Comparison
The Venue HX5 variant gets all 5 powertrain options. It costs Rs. 35,000 more than the lower HX4 variant with the same 1.2L normal petrol engine. HX5 normal petrol-manual carries an ex-showroom price tag of Rs. 9.15 lakh. For just Rs. 59,500 more, you can have it with the turbo petrol-manual powertrain, which costs Rs. 9.74 lakh. Here, the diesel engine is available for an additional Rs. 1.49 lakh and costs Rs. 10.64 lakh (ex-showroom).
Venue HX5 turbo diesel-automatic and turbo petrol-automatic cost about Rs. 95,000 more than their respective manual transmission variants.

You may miss the following features in the HX5 variant:
- Rear parcel tray
- Auto AC
- Rear window sunshades
- Rear armrest
- Front armrest (only available with automatic transmission)
The HX5 variant is available with all powertrains. You can skip it if you want the base non-turbo petrol engine and consider either the base trim or upgrade to turbo petrol engine.
Among turbo engines, manual as well as automatic transmission are worth considering but they are still not an outstanding VFM option.
Hyundai Venue HX5 vs N6 N Line Variant — Price, Feature Comparison
The Venue N Line N6 variant is available with turbo petrol manual and automatic with an ex-showroom price of Rs. 10.55 lakh and Rs. 11.45 lakh, respectively. These prices are about Rs. 80,000 higher than the lower HX5 trim.

The N6 variant of the Venue offers a lot of style features but misses out on several must-have features. So, this one is not recommended.
Hyundai Venue HX5 vs HX6 & HX6 T Variant — Price, Feature Comparison
HX6 variant of the Venue gets normal petrol-manual and turbo petrol-automatic powertrain options while the HX6T only gets the 1.2L normal petrol-manual. The HX6 costs Rs. 1.28 lakh more than the lower HX5 variant while the HX6T costs another Rs. 27,600. The HX6 turbo automatic carries an ex-showroom price tag of Rs. 11.98 lakh, which is about Rs. 1.31 lakh higher than the lower HX5 variant.

You may miss the following features in the HX6/HX6T variants:
- LED headlamps
- LED connected front and rear light bar
- Electronic parking brake (at least w/ automatic)
First of all, skip this variant if you are interested in the 1.2L engine. For turbo buyers, the HX6 automatic is our top recommendation for offering most of the must-have features and offering good value for money score over the base trim. In fact, among all 2025 Venue petrol options, this is the only one to earn our top recommendation. We wish it were also available with the manual transmission.
Hyundai Venue HX6 vs HX7 Variant — Price, Feature Comparison
The HX7 variant of the Venue is only available with the diesel-manual powertrain and costs Rs. 12.51 lakh (ex-showroom). It’s difficult to directly compare the incremental cost for this variant over the lower one since the same powertrain is not available in HX6. However, compared to HX6 normal petrol this one is Rs. 2.08 lakh pricier.

Hyundai Venue HX7 vs HX8 Variant — Price, Feature Comparison
The Venue HX8 variant also only gets turbo petrol-manual and automatic powertrain options and costs Rs. 11.81 lakh with the manual and Rs. 12.85 lakh with automatic transmission.

The HX8 variant offers mostly good-to-have features but it justifies the incremental cost over the lower trims. So, you can consider buying it.
Hyundai Venue HX8 vs HX10 Variant — Price, Feature Comparison
The top-spec Venue HX10 variant is only available with automatic transmission but gets turbo petrol as well as turbo diesel engines. This variant requires quite a steep jump of Rs. 1.72 lakh over the lower HX8 trim with petrol-automatic powertrain. HX10 petrol costs Rs. 14.56 lakh while it costs Rs. 15.51 lakh with the diesel engine.

Hyundai Venue HX10 vs N10 Variant — Price, Feature Comparison
The N10 variant of the Venue is the top model and it’s only available with an automatic transmission. It costs Rs. 15.30 lakh (ex-showroom), which is Rs. 73,900 more than the lower HX10 variant.

If you want the Venue top model but with the N-Line styling package, then N10 is the only option. Thankfully, it offers a good VFM score over the base model with all of its additional features and performance advantages. However, the buying recommendation here is ‘can buy’ while HX6 remains our top recommendation for Venue petrol-automatic buyers.
Which Variant Of The New Hyundai Venue 2025 Should You Buy?
Let’s start the recommendation with 1.2L petrol-manual variants. Among the 5 options you have, only the base trim comes across as a reasonably good value for money. Moving higher, the HX4 offers a pathetic value for money score of just 30%; as in, it only justifies about 30% of the incremental cost over the base model. Even going up the variant chain doesn’t help the cause as VFM score remains below 60%. So, you are better off spending a bit more and upgrading to the turbo petrol engine if you want better value for money.
Among the turbo petrol-manual variants, the HX2 variant seems to offer a decent value for money score almost completely justifying the upgrade with larger wheels and superior performance. The upgrade to HX5 is worth considering but N6 seems quite an expensive option since it doesn’t get several must-have features we expect from a car costing more than Rs. 10.0 lakh (ex-showroom). HX8 is again worth a look but doesn’t manage to earn our top recommendation as it too doesn’t offer a nice balance of value and feature mix.

For Venue turbo petrol-automatic buyers, the HX5 is worth considering for budget conscious buyers. However, if you can stretch your budget, and we recommend you do, you should go for the HX6 while skipping the N6. The HX6 is the only Venue petrol variant to earn our top recommendation offering a balanced mix of must-have features and good value for money. HX8, HX10 and N10 are all worth considering as they offer decent value for money. So, you can choose either depending on your feature preference and budget.
What Are The Engine Specifications Of The 2025 Hyundai Venue?
Against B2 SUVs with normal petrol engines, the new Venue’s specs are obviously unimpressive next to the Brezza. But respectable compared to the 1.2L engines in the same segment. Naturally, it outperforms when compared with the Magnite and Kiger’s 1.0L engine.

The new Venue retains the 1.0L turbo petrol engine, which is also available with the Sonet. However, unlike the Sonet, the Venue doesn’t get the auto-clutch manual transmission. This engine’s torque is very close to the top of the charts and only 6Nm behind the Kylaq’s.

Even in diesel territory, there’s competition for the Venue in the form of Sonet, Syros, Nexon and 3XO. Now, Venue has an automatic transmission in the race making it a level playing field. Until recently, it was the only diesel 4m SUV without an automatic transmission with its diesel engine. Here, the Venue, Sonet and Nexon are on par but the 3XO sits a few notches above with 20% better torque output than the Venue’s while still offering a respectable mileage figure. But if fuel efficiency is your prime focus, you should look no further than the Nexon, which is the leader with manual as well as automatic transmission.

What Are The Dimensions Of The Hyundai Venue?
Against the more affordable 4m SUVs such as Fronx/Taisor, C3X, Kiger and Magnite, the Venue holds its own with a wider and taller body. However, the C3X has a longer wheelbase while the Kiger & Magnite have superior ground clearance. Venue is the only car in this comparison with 17-inch wheels.

Against more expensive B2 segment SUVs, the Venue is only on par with the leaders. Here, the 3XO has a longer wheelbase, Nexon has better ground clearance and Syros has a much bigger boot space (with 2nd row seats in upright position.) Even assuming realistic usage, the Sonet and Nexon beat the Venue in terms of cargo volume. Syros and 3XO are also 2 cars in this comparison offering 17-inch alloy wheels — on par with the Venue.
