Bookings for the VF6 and VF7 are already open, with customers able to reserve either model for a token amount of ₹21,000.
VinFast VF6: Compact & Affordable EV SUV
The VF6 will be the entry-level offering from VinFast in India, competing directly with the MG ZS EV, Hyundai Creta Electric, and Tata Curvv EV.
- Battery & Range: 59.6kWh battery, ~410km claimed range (Eco variant).
- Powertrain: Front-mounted motor; 177PS (Eco) / 204PS (Plus).
- Design & Features: Stylish eyebrow-shaped LED DRLs, thick cladding, dual-tone interiors, and a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
VinFast VF7: Premium, Sportier Offering
Launching alongside the VF6, the VF7 is a larger, more premium SUV positioned against the Mahindra, XEV 9e Hyundai Ioniq 5, BYD Atto 3, BMW iX1 LWB, and Mahindra BE 6.
- Battery & Powertrain: 70.8kWh pack; single-motor FWD (201PS) and dual-motor AWD (354PS, 520Nm).
- Performance: AWD variant does 0-100kmph in just 5.8 seconds.
- Design & Interior: Aggressive styling, premium dual-tone cabin, leatherette upholstery, ventilated seats, 8-way powered driver’s seat, and a panoramic glass roof.
Expected Prices & Market Positioning
- VF6: Expected at Rs. 20-23 lakh (ex-showroom).
- VF7: Expected at Rs. 25-28 lakh (ex-showroom).
