Prices for the Tata Xpres petrol start at Rs. 5.59 lakh, while the Xpres CNG is priced from Rs. 6.59 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Bookings are now open across Tata’s authorised fleet dealerships.
Tata Xpres Petrol And CNG Powertrain Details
Both the petrol and CNG variants of the XPRES are powered by Tata’s 1.2L normal petrol engine, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The focus here is on durability and long-term usage, keeping in mind high daily running typically associated with fleet operations.
The XPRES CNG stands out with a first-in-segment twin-cylinder CNG setup featuring a 70L (water capacity) tank, which Tata claims is the largest in the segment. This setup not only improves driving range but also addresses a key fleet concern – boot space.
Boot Space And Practicality
Thanks to the twin-cylinder layout, the Xpres CNG offers uncompromised luggage space, reducing booking losses caused by limited boot capacity. Meanwhile, the petrol variant offers a 419L boot, which Tata says is the largest in the petrol fleet sedan segment.
These updates make the Xpres more practical for applications like airport transfers, intercity travel and tourist taxis.
Ownership Benefits For Fleet Operators
Tata is offering a standard warranty of 3 years or 1 lakh km, extendable up to 5 years or 1.8 lakh km. The company also claims a low maintenance cost of Rs. 0.47 per km, which should help keep operating expenses in check.
To support fleet customers better, Tata have also rolled out exclusive fleet-focused dealerships in select cities, offering dedicated sales and service support aimed at reducing downtime and improving vehicle availability.
