The Vision X was one of the vehicles showcased at the event. It’s a sub-4m SUV with a sporty/soft-roader profile — similar to that of an urban SUV like the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite or Citroen C3X. You should expect the Vision X to offer front wheel drive, as is the case with its rivals in the B2 SUV segment even though the platform does have the capability to offer 4WD.
Mahindra Vision X Launch Timeline Estimate (Next-Gen XUV 3XO)
The XUV 3XO went on sale in 2019 as XUV 300. It failed to bring in big sales numbers for Mahindra despite an extremely liquid market and growing demand for SUVs. Mahindra then rebadged it as XUV 3XO. This happened in 2024, when the car also got its mid-life update. The update seems to have given it enough boost to carry on for a good while.

This suggests that the XUV 3XO has a half life of 5 years and a full product lifecycle of 10 years. If you add 5 more years to 2024 (the last major update for XUV 3XO), you get 2029. And that is when we expect the Vision X to go on sale — sometime in 2029.
