Toyota has taken the wraps off the Urban Cruiser Ebella, its first EV for India. A badge-engineered version of the Maruti e Vitara, the Ebella gets a different front-end while looking similar to its Maruti sibling for the most part. The Urban Cruiser Ebella will be offered in three trim levels, which are E1, E2 and E3, and paired with either a 49kWh or a 61kWh battery pack, depending on the trim you go for. Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella powertrains
Available with either a 49kWh or a 61kWh battery pack
The Urban Cruiser Ebella is available in two battery pack choices, namely a 49kWh battery pack and a larger 61kWh battery pack. While the E1 trim comes standard with a 49kWh battery pack, the E2 and E3 trims exclusively feature a 61kWh battery pack. The 49kWh battery features a front-axle-mounted motor producing 144hp and 189Nm of torque with an ARAI-claimed range of 440km, while the motor in the 61kWh battery produces 171hp and 189Nm of torque and goes upto 543km on a single charge.

The Urban Cruiser Ebella can be opted for with five monotone colour options, which include Sportin Red, Cafe White, Enticing Silver, Gaming Grey, and Bluish Black. Dual-tone paint options with a black roof are available on the Cafe White, Sportin Red, Land Breeze green and Enticing Silver colours.

Currently, the E1 trim is well equipped, as it gets most of the basic kit and safety features along with screens for the infotainment system and driver’s display, along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The E2 trim, while offering a bigger battery pack, does not get as many features over the E1 trim. The top E3 trim not only brings a bigger battery pack but also gets more creature comforts like ventilated front seats, powered driver seat, level 2 ADAS and a sunroof.
