After the limited-run Batman Edition, Mahindra has launched another special edition of the BE 6 e-SUV: the Formula E Edition. It is priced from Rs 23.69 lakh and offered in two variants, FE2 and FE3, both with a distinct exterior design featuring new LED headlights and body cladding. They also offer some more features than the comparable BE 6 Pack Two variant.

Offered in four exterior colour options

The Mahindra BE 6 Formula E Edition features numerous exterior design differences compared to the regular model, including a thick black body cladding, a circular LED projector headlight housing and Formula E-inspired decals.
It comes in four colour options – Everest White, Firestorm Orange, Tango Red, and Stealth Black – all of which are also available with the regular BE 6. That said, the regular model also comes in Deep Forest and Desert Myst colourways.

As seen above, the FE2 trim is loaded with features but lacks an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) suite, which is offered with the Pack Two trim of the regular BE 6, priced at Rs 23.50 lakh. The Pack Two variant, however, lacks features such as a 360-degree camera, front parking sensors, and auto-folding ORVMs, all of which the Formula E Edition packs. The FE3 trim adds an adaptive suspension, expected to deliver a more planted driving experience than the regular variants. Such a suspension setup is offered with the Pack Three Select variant of the BE 6, which costs Rs 24.90 lakh but gets a smaller 59kWh battery pack compared to the 79kWh battery pack of the Formula E Edition.
With a unique design and added features, the BE 6 Formula E Edition definitely looks like a value-for-money offering on paper. However, if you want an ADAS suite, you will have no choice but to go with the regular BE 6.
All prices are ex-showroom, India.
