Renault Kwid Anniversary Edition: What’s new?
The Kwid Anniversary Edition, limited to just 500 units, is based on the mid-spec Techno trim and comes finished in two dual-tone exterior paint shades: Fiery Red with Black Roof and the new Shadow Grey with Black Roof. It also has a new yellow accent on the grille, new decals on the doors and C-pillar and new gloss-black flexi wheel options.

Inside, the Kwid Anniversary Edition comes with a new leather-wrapped steering wheel with contrast stitching in yellow. The yellow accents are also found surrounding the infotainment screen, on the seats and on the door pads; there are 10th Anniversary Edition logos on the front seats’ headrests. Renault has even added puddle lamps and illuminated scuff plates on the Kwid Anniversary Edition.
Renault Kwid variant nomenclature updated
The Kwid is now available in four trims – Authentic, Evolution, Techno and Climber – with the new nomenclature bringing it in line with the updated Triber and Kiger. Previously, the Kwid was available in RXE, RXL, RXT and Climber trims.

The top-spec Climber trim has also been updated with 6 airbags, up from the earlier 2. Additionally, all variants of the Kwid now get 3-point seat belts for all the seats.
Renault Kwid powertrain options
Mechanically, the Kwid remains unchanged. Under the hood, it gets a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine, which produces 68hp and 91Nm of peak torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual or an AMT. The Kwid rivals the likes of the Maruti Alto K10 and S-Presso in the entry-level hatchback segment.
