2025 Kia Carens Clavis EV Exterior Design

- LED fog lamps on the front bumper
- Aero-optimised alloy wheels
2025 Kia Carens Clavis EV Cabin Features And Safety
On the inside, the Carens Clavis EV offers similar features as its ICE counterpart. Here, the only difference between the electric and ICE models are the redesigned centre console, which now features a cubby hole instead of a gear lever. The centre console also features buttons on the forward lip.
Beyond these changes, the Carens Clavis EV retains features from the existing Carens Clavis such as:
- Dual 12.3-inch displays for infotainment and instrumentation
- Panoramic sunroof
- Ambient lighting
- Ventilated front seats
- Wireless phone charging
- 8-speaker Bose sound system
On the safety front, the Clavis EV offers features such as:
- 6 airbags as standard
- ADAS (Level-2)
- Adaptive cruise control
- Automatic emergency braking
- 360-degree camera
- Front and rear parking sensors
- Dual-camera dash cam
- Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
2025 Kia Carens Clavis EV Powertrain Specs
While Kia are yet to reveal the full powertrain specifications of the 2025 Carens Clavis EV, they have confirmed it will feature a 51.4kWh battery pack, which incidentally is the same battery pack found in the Creta EV from Kia’s sister brand Hyundai. Hence, it’s fair to assume that lower variants of the Carens Clavis EV could get the smaller 42kWh battery pack from the Creta Electric as well.
Surprisingly, Kia have stated that the Carens Clavis EV equipped with 51.4kWh will offer a claimed range of 490km, which is 17km more than the Creta Electric. We expect the long range variants of the Carens Clavis EV to offer the same 171PS of power and 255Nm of torque as the Creta EV’s long range variants.
2025 Kia Carens Clavis EV Expected Price And Rivals
We expect the Kia Carens Clavis EV to be priced from around Rs. 16 lakh (ex-showroom). When launched, the Carens Clavis EV will become the most affordable 7-seater electric MPV in the country. Thus, it will serve as a more affordable alternative to the BYD eMax 7 in the electric MPV segment. It will also serve as an electric alternative to popular ICE-based MPVs like the Toyota Innova Hycross and Maruti Invicto, catering to buyers looking for a spacious and eco-friendly family vehicle.
