Legender the only one in the segment to get a 4×4 system and manual gearbox
The Legender’s 4×4 manual version, at Rs 46.36 lakh, costs Rs 1.73 lakh less than the automatic gearbox version. This price pits it against other large 7-seat diesel SUVs like the MG Gloster (Rs 39.57 lakh-44.03 lakh) and the Jeep Meridian (Rs 24.99 lakh-38.79 lakh), though neither gets a 4×4 system with a manual gearbox.

2.8-litre diesel engine paired with 6-speed manual gearbox
The Legender 4×4 MT is powered by the 2.8-litre four-cylinder diesel engine found in the AT version. While it produces the same 204hp, the torque rating when paired with the 6-speed manual gearbox is 80Nm less, at 420Nm. There are no other mechanical changes, and power is sent to all four wheels via the 4×4 system.

No exterior, interior or feature differences between MT and AT
No other changes have been made to the Fortuner Legender 4×4 MT. It is offered in a single Platinum White Pearl with Black Roof dual-tone exterior finish and 18-inch alloy wheels, and the interior has the same black and maroon theme. The features list is also identical, with highlights being the ambient lighting, an 11-speaker JBL audio system with a sub-woofer, ventilated front seats, hands-free tailgate opening and seven airbags.
