Renault has finally unveiled the new Duster in India, bringing back an iconic nameplate that birthed the midsize SUV segment in the country. What’s quite notable is that Renault has redesigned the SUV for the Indian market, which not only sets it apart from its European counterpart, but also highlights the difference in Indian and European tastes. The India-spec Duster looks more rugged and butch, replete with beefier bumpers, generous body cladding all around, and most importantly, the name ‘Duster’ spelt big and boldly on the grille. There are a few unique details like the Himalayan motif on the front fenders, and the yellow strip on the body cladding with ‘Iconic’ inscribed on it that are also unique to the India-spec model. The Duster also has a generous 212mm of ground clearance, which will be handy on our roads. It will be available with a choice ot two turbo-petrol and one strong-hybrid petrol engine option. Prices for the new Renault Duster are set to be unveiled in March, and deliveries will begin from April.
