Nissan Triber-based MPV — Why We Expect This Price Range
The Nissan MPV will be a rebadged version of the Renault Triber, which is currently priced from ₹6.30 lakh to ₹9.17 lakh (ex-showroom). Given this pricing and Nissan’s strategy to offer similar value with minor design changes, the ₹6.50 – ₹9.50 lakh range seems fair.
We have to also understand that Nissan will have to pay royalties to Renault for using their platform and design, perhaps, even their production lines. So, adding some 3.0-3.5% royalty costs, we expect Nissan to sell it at Rs. 6.50 lakh to Rs. 9.50 lakh, ex-showroom. That is assuming they choose to maintain the same profit margins as those of Renault.
