Volvo Car India has introduced the second facelift to its XC60 midsize luxury SUV, priced at Rs 71.90 lakh, introductory, ex-showroom. The current generation XC60’s latest update is about 3 years apart from the previous one, and just over 5 months since its global reveal. Though mechanically unchanged, cosmetic alterations and feature upgrades have made the Mercedes GLC, BMW X3 and Audi Q5 rival costlier by Rs 1.15 lakh.
- Panoramic sunroof, four-zone AC, ADAS on offer
- Volvo claims that the XC60 has a mileage of 12.9kpl
- XC60 is Volvo’s best-selling model both in India and worldwide
New Volvo XC60 facelift exterior and interior highlights
Restyled front grille and alloy wheels
Since changes to the 2025 XC60 exterior are subtle and the overall silhouette is intact, the facelifted model appears mostly like the outgoing car. A diagonal-slat grille is fresh, just like the redesigned 19-inch alloy wheels. Overall, these revisions bring it more in line with the Volvo XC90 flagship. This also means that the India-spec XC60 does not feature front bumper revisions and smoked tail-lights seen on the global model earlier.
6 colours
A new colour – Forest Lake – has been introduced over the Crystal White, Onyx Black, Denim Blue, Bright Dusk and Vapour Grey options; Platinum Grey has been discontinued.
Upsized touchscreen with 2x faster processor
The most significant enhancement to the XC60 interior is headlined by a freestanding 11.2-inch touchscreen powered by Google. Not only is it 2.2 inches bigger and has better image quality, but it’s also run by a twice as fast Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. Audio duties are handled by a 1410W-Bowers and Wilkins system featuring 15 speakers, and there’s a 12.3-inch driver’s display, wood inlays in the dashboard, massaging front seats and Nappa leather upholstery too.
New Volvo XC60 safety features
Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems
Dubbed the Volvo Smart Safety Network, the XC60’s Level 2 ADAS suite offers cross-traffic alert with autobrake, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control and lane and pilot assists. Other features like 8 airbags, 360-degree camera and ABS with EBD are there as well.
New Volvo XC60 facelift engine and gearbox specs
Has the same 250hp turbo petrol motor
Typical of a facelift, no changes have been made under the hood of the XC60. This means that it retains the 2-litre turbo-petrol engine and automatic transmission pairing (B5 variant). Peak outputs of 250hp and 360Nm are directed to all 4 wheels via the 8-speed torque converter unit. It also gets a 48V mild hybrid battery that supports the engine, improving fuel efficiency and acceleration.
