Mahindra is drip-feeding teasers of its concepts in the run up to their August 15 debut, and the latest is the Vision SXT. The Mahindra Vision SXT will be among the models to be underpinned by the brand’s new platform, which is capable of utilising petrol, diesel, hybrid and all-electric powertrains.

Mahindra Vision SXT new design details
Rear view shows see-through pick-up bed with spare tyres
The latest teaser finally gives us a hint at what could be the body style of the upcoming Vision SXT. It shows the rear end of the concept with a pickup truck-like load area with spare tyres strapped on to it. This suggests it could be an evolution of the Global Pik Up Concept from 2023 which had a similar detail.
The difference here is that instead of a full tail gate panel for the opening of the load bed, this one allows for a see-through area below. It also gets slim tail lamp units, flared wheel arches and a chunky rear bumper.

Interestingly, previous teasers of the Vision SXT also hinted at some similarities with the Vision T concept which is also due to be unveiled on August 15. The creased yet flat bonnet design, the side latches, the protruding front bumper and angular flared wheel arches seem common to both. One teaser also showed a rugged suspension setup and all-terrain tyres, hinting at an outdoorsy nature of the concept.
No other details are available on the Vision SXT at the moment. While its design does seem to have commonality with the Vision T, suggesting it could be another model in the Thar range, this has yet to be confirmed. We’ll know more about the SXT concept once it debuts on August 15, alongside three other concepts and the new platform vision. Stay tuned.
