First announced in 2022, the Red Bull RB17 is an extreme track-only hypercar that’s been ideated by none other than iconic F1 designer Adrian Newey. The production-ready RB17 has now been revealed with fresh design details, revised aero, a new top-mounted exhaust tuned for a howling soundtrack, and safety standards comparable to Le Mans prototypes. Right behind the RB17’s cockpit sits a 1,000hp 4.5-litre Cosworth-built V10 capable of revving up to a manic 15,000rpm, along with an electric motor that adds 200hp, making for a combined output of 1,200hp. Red Bull Advanced Technologies will carry out real-world track testing of the RB17 later this year, with first deliveries expected next spring.
