While the Pulsar RS200 shares its engine, frame and core fundamentals with the NS200, it sets itself apart with distinctly different styling. It was updated last year with a handful of feature additions and refreshed graphics. Here are a few things to know if you’re considering buying one.
1. What is the peak output of the Bajaj Pulsar RS200?
The RS200 is powered by the same 199.5cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine as the NS200. It produces 24.5hp and 18.7Nm and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The RS200 should, however, be able to achieve a slightly higher top speed thanks to its fairing and better aerodynamics compared to the street-naked NS200.
2. What updates did the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 get for 2025?
Visually, the Pulsar RS200 remains largely unchanged, with the only notable update being a redesigned tail-lamp. The new setup features twin pods on either side, with each pod integrating the indicator and tail-lamp into a single unit.
The RS200 also borrows the LCD instrument cluster and switchgear from the Pulsar NS400Z. This brings Bluetooth connectivity, enabling turn-by-turn navigation, as well as call and notification alerts. Additionally, Bajaj has introduced three riding modes: Road, Rain and Off-road. It also gets a slipper clutch now.

Apart from the obvious differences between the two, the RS gets a fairing with twin LED projector headlights that lend it a look that has gone on to become iconic. It also features clip-on handlebars, although the overall riding position isn’t extremely committed. The NS200, on the other hand, gets no wind protection, a single-pod reflector LED headlight and a conventional handlebar, resulting in a slightly more relaxed riding position. That said, the RS’s fairing and other changes do add a fair bit of weight. While the NS200 weighs 158kg (kerb), the RS200 tips the scales at 166kg.
