I’m looking to buy a hybrid car for frequent highway journeys and would like to have ADAS, as it helps on the well-marked roads I drive on. I liked the Maruti Victoris hybrid but found out it doesn’t get ADAS. Why is that so?

Autocar India says: Maruti has priced the Victoris below the Grand Vitara, despite it having more features. The Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features are not available on the strong hybrid variants – the petrol-AT variants are the only ones to get the Level 2 suite – as it is likely to increase the Victoris’s price to Grand Vitara levels; currently, the top-spec Victoris ZXI+(O) hybrid costs Rs 69,000 less than the Grand Vitara Alpha+(O).
To answer your query, the only mass-market hybrid car currently on sale in India with ADAS is the Honda City, which currently costs Rs 19.90 lakh*.
*Prices are ex-showroom, India, pre-GST 2.0.
