
The first unveil at Mahindra’s Independence Day celebrations is the new BE 6 Batman Edition. The Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition has been launched at Rs 27.79 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings open on August 23 for a token amount of Rs 21,000, and deliveries begin on September 20, on International Batman Day. It is limited to just 300 units.

The Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition is priced at a premium of Rs 89,000 over the regular Pack Three variant it is based on. In a first for the automotive industry, Mahindra has officially collaborated with Warner Bros for the BE 6 Batman Edition.
Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition exterior details
The BE 6 Batman Edition comes finished in a satin black shade that’s contrasted with a gloss-black finish for the body claddings on the wheel arches and bumpers. There’s also a Batman-themed decal on the front doors, and plenty of Batman logos scattered all around.

The gold-finished Batman emblem can be seen on the front fenders, wheel hubcaps, rear bumper, windows and rear windshield. The suspension springs and brake callipers are also finished in gold, bringing a touch of contrast to the SUV. There’s also a ‘BE 6 X The Dark Knight’ limited edition badge on the tailgate.
Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition interior details
The interior of the Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition is finished in two shades of black contrasted with gold accents. You can see the gold finish on the halo-like surround for the driver’s seat, there’s contrasting gold stitching for the upholstery, and it even gets a limited Batman Edition plaque with numbering on the centre console; there are gold accents on the AC vents, key fob and the rotary dial on the centre console. This is further complemented by the Dark Knight trilogy logos on the seats, interior labels, interior door handles, the passenger side of the dashboard and on the boost button on the steering wheel.

The ambient lighting integrated into the panoramic glass roof is also Dark Knight trilogy-themed, and even puddle lamps throw up the Batman logo. The instrument cluster displays a Batman Edition welcome animation and there’s also a Batman-themed start up sound.
Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition battery and specs
The Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition is based on the top-spec Pack Three variant. The BE 6 Batman Edition is, therefore, equipped with a 79kWh battery, which returns an ARAI-claimed range of 682km. It is powered by an electric motor on the rear axle, producing 286hp and 380Nm of peak torque. AC charging options include 7.2kW or 11kW chargers, but these are chargeable over the ex-showroom price.

The BE is the latest to join the trending list of Dark Edition SUVs and also the first Mahindra EV to be meted out such a Dark Edition treatment. That said, the BE 6 Batman Edition has to be one of the most sinister-looking dark-themed SUVs we have seen so far.
