What is the Tata Punch EV price range?

The Tata Punch EV price ranges between Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 14.44 lakh (ex-showroom). It is available in five core trims: Smart, Smart+, Adventure, Empowered, Empowered+. A 25kWh battery is standard on all trims, while the latter three can also be had with a larger 35kWh battery (LR); sunroof is also optional on the top three trims. What is the Tata Punch EV range like?
The Tata Punch EV has an ARAI-claimed range of 265km and 365km for the 25kWh and 35kWh batteries, respectively. However, as per Tata’s own internal C75 test cycle (representative of more real-world usage and conditions), the 25kWh battery returns about 190-210km range, while the 35kWh returns about 270-290km range.

Meanwhile, in our real-world range test, we managed 229km for the LR variant with an efficiency of 6.54km/kWh. The Punch EV was tested in Eco mode with regen set at the mid setting (level 2).
What is Tata Punch EV’s top speed?
We’ve recorded a top speed of 134kph for the Punch EV LR in Sport mode. The Tata Punch EV Long Range variants make 122hp and 190Nm from a front axle-mounted electric motor, while the regular variants get an 82hp, 114Nm motor.
What features doe the Tata Punch EV get?
The Punch EV is a very well-equipped compact EV with top-spec Empowered+ trim offering features like a 10.25-inch infotainment system by Harman, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, leatherette upholstery, 360-degree camera, wireless smartphone charger, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, sequential indicators, cruise control, electronic parking brake, drive modes and of course, an optional sunroof.
The base Smart trim, however, only cover the basics with LED headlamps and DRLs, auto AC, front power windows, 15-inch steel wheels with cover, powered tailgate release and ESP and 6 airbags. Essentials such as a touchscreen, all four power windows, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, speakers and a reverse camera are only offered from the second-from-base Smart+ trim.
Is Tata Punch EV safe?
The Punch EV has a 5-star safety rating for both adult and child occupancy from Bharat NCAP. It scored 31.46 out of 32 points for AOP and 45 out of 49 points for COP. Safety features such as six airbags, ESP, hill hold control, ISOFIX child seat anchor points, rear parking sensors and TPMS are standard. However, a 5-star safety rating is not necessarily the ultimate word on safety.
Is Tata Punch EV better than the petrol version?
One of our biggest gripes with the petrol-powered Punch is that it lacks, well, punch. But with the Punch EV, that weakness has been replaced with what’s arguably the little EV’s biggest strength. Off the line performance is effortless from the 122hp motor with the LR variants, and it gathers pace progressively and rapidly and you’re never left wanting for more power. The Punch EV offers a strong, smooth and silent driving experience.

What makes the Punch EV an even better package than its petrol sibling is that it has a far better-appointed interior. For instance, features like the ventilated front seats, 360-degree camera, wireless charging, leatherette upholstery, on-board navigation and fully-digital instrument cluster are exclusive to the Punch EV.
Will you get a subsidy on purchase of Tata Punch EV?
Yes, there are several state-level subsidies that can be enjoyed on the purchase of a Punch EV. For instance, in Maharashtra, the recently announced EV policy allows for subsidies of up to 10 percent on the base price of the vehicle. There are several states which also completely waive off road tax and registration costs and also do not levy toll charges on major expressways. These incentives vary from state to state.
